The Italian Balloons Festival

The "Ferrara Balloons Festival" is currently recognized as the most important Hot-Air Balloon Festival in Italy and one of the most prestigious in Europe.

Born ten years ago as an innovative festival launched by the Province and the Municipality of Ferrara, it has become through years a famous entertaining event including air shows, sports, cultural events, meetings and other entertaining activities that usually take place in the historic centre of Ferrara, a jewel of Italian Renaissance as well as one of the World Heritage Site protected and supported by UNESCO.

For those who haven't been able to enjoy this stunning gathering, there is a chance to admire these imaginatively-shaped balloons in free and captive flight until September the 20^th, from the "Giorgio Bassani" Urban Park in Ferrara.
