The wine-and-gastronomy hub Eccellenze Campane (Campana Excellences) has opened in Milan with the aim of promoting the delicacies from Campania, concentrating the production in a single structure. The latter is a space of 800 square meters where it is possible to taste and directly buy the most outstanding specialties from Campania, i.e. the Neapolitan pizza, the original Buffalo mozzarella, pasta, sfogliatelle and much more.
Eccellenze Campane personally selects and assures great quality for its products, together with the necessary skills to produce them in the traditional way. It goes without saying that all raw materials used are from Campania, including several PDO and PGI denominations that are well-known and widely appreciated at the international level.
As put in evidence by the President of Eccellenze Campane, Paolo Scudieri, "Milan is the European food capital and a unique international shopping window...it was essential for us to open a branch here... this opening in Milan further stresses our role as ambassadors of Made in Italy and our traditions that enhance Italian fame around the world". In fact, Eccellenze Campane is the only centre in Italy where high quality Campania products are produced and sold, where culture and tradition meet sustainability, respect for the territory and an outstanding quality-price ratio.
Eccellenze Campane in Milan was inspired by the Neapolitan branch, opened in 2014. Architecturally conceived as a Storage, the building is made up of two levels. The ground floor hosts an area devoted to street food, where the ground-breaking innovation is the sea water pizza, a very special kind of pizza dough prepared by using sea water and having a very long leavening to assure digestibility and lightness. The first floor is occupied by the restaurant Trattoria Cetara where excellent raw materials are transformed by brilliant chefs de cuisine into mouth-watering dishes, all characterized by a simple and genuine style. More information on the Eccellenze Campane Milano is available on their website.
