The «Marvelous» world of MIRAE

Their future is Marvelous indeed. MIRAE are back with their third mini-album. «Marvelous» has six songs in total, including a title track with the same name as the album. As for credits, member Khaelparticipated in writing lyrics for the song "Amazing," while all seven members are listed as lyricists for the album's final track "Dear My Friend”. The three versions of this EP, Preppy Academy, and Party, show a refreshing image of the rookie boy group under DSP Media. Marvelous is a dance-pop tune with powerful beats. In the MV theRe members travel across the galaxy to explore the possibility of a life beyond earth and learn of the perspective from Earth and Mars. Reaching to the sky and the stars and looking for a new chance.

Hello boys! You came back with Marvelous. Can you talk to us about it?

LIEN - It's the first time that MIRAE shows a bright song and performance!
Siyoung - “Marvelous” lyrics include a different perspective from the Earth and from Mars.

Let’s talk about Marvelous MV and the behind the scene. How was filming?

Junhyuk - I didn't expect the scene which had been taken on the sand was beautiful. There was nothing behind me, just chroma key walls! After editing, I was really on Mars. I'm very pleased!
Dongpyo - When I lived on Mars, I loved the sunset! It was so beautiful. I'll take sunset pictures on Mars, if it's possible, I'll show you the pictures!

Let’s play with your imagination. If you could really travel to Mars, how MIRAE life would be?

Junhyuk - I'll drink 'JUICE' with alien while watching a sunset glow!
Dohyun - I think the day we have to live on Mars or another planet will come. Of course, it will be a very long~~~ future.
Yubin - When I go to Mars, I'll take lots of pictures and my vlog! I will be going to do a live broadcast there.
Dongpyo - I want to watch a sunset glow on Mars!
KHAEL - When I go to Mars, I'll start the pizza business! I'll open the first pizza restaurant on Mars.

In your album concept pictures, you showed an academic look. Let me ask you: if you were in Harry Potter in which house would you be?

Junhyuk - Slytherin. Many NOWs told me "Junhyuk, you look like a Slytherin boy"
Dohyun - Definitely Gryffindor. I tested on the website 'Potter more’(Wizarding World) and they judged me Gryffindor. My personal character is similar to Gryffindor students!
LIEN - Slytherin. There are a lot of great and awesome wizards from Slytherin, and I hope to be an outstanding wizard like them.
KHAEL - I like Slytherin but I am a little scared with Slytherin students. So I wanna go to Ravenclaw. The wizards from Ravenclaw are really cool.
Dongpyo - The website, Wizarding World said to me "You are Hufflepuff"
Siyoung - Gryffindor. I think Harry Potter and I have similar points.
Yubin - Hufflepuff. I am a diligent and truthful person like Hufflepuff's motto. I try to do my best always.

You have three versions of the album: Preppy, Academy, Party. Which is your favorite and why?

Dohyun - I love 'Party version'. I liked the mood of the photos. You can enjoy fancy party vibes in 'Party version' and there are so many sparkling props!
KHAEL - My favorite version is 'Academy version'. There are my favorite look in 'Academy version'. (He laughs)
Yubin - I also like 'Academy version'. My friends and fans complimented me a lot! 'Preppy version' and 'Party version' are also pretty. I am proud of them.

This album also broke your previous record as the highest-selling first-day album. How does it feel?

Siyoung - I cannot believe it. We always do our best and improve ourselves!
Dongpyo - I am so proud that NOWs loved this album! We always try harder than yesterday. I always love you NOWs!

Khael you participated in writing 'Amazing'. How was the process behind the creation of the song?

KHAEL - When I was a trainee, I took the chance to write the lyric ‘Amazing'. It was very lucky to me. I made rap-making newly!

All of you are credited as lyricists for 'Dear My Friend'. Can you talk to us more about the song?

Dohyun - It was the first experience to write lyrics in my whole life. I was so excited. It was a very funny and enjoyable experience for me. My favorite part is "Shining seven stars at the mist, Yeah I just feel like a good start". Because I wrote that part!
LIEN - MIRAE's friendship is in 'Dear my friend'. I think that everyone who has someone precious and special can empathize with listening to the song.

What changed since your last come back?

Junhyuk - 'KILLA' and 'Splash' were powerful and strong. 'Marvelous' is a dreamy and refreshing concept. Every member looks good on 'Marvelous' and I think that we grew up on the stage.
Yubin - 'Marvelous' is very different to 'KILLA' and 'Splash'. I am pleased that we can show refreshing moments. I hoped to perform a bright song, so I am happy now!

LIEN - Every member loves the stage and focus on higher goals
Dohyun - Cooking mysterious cuisine. Various ingredients cook to be delicious cuisine.
Dongpyo - Step by step, we go up.
